Bowflex SelectTech 552 Dumbbells Review
I am a boy of 48 years of average fitness, average thickness and average height. I started lifting weights ... do not laugh ... improve my golf game. I like a bargain, but I love a great value even more, and I will pay for the more expensive choice, whether it's worth it. When I decided to get some dumbbells, I started to dig into the details. See below for the brands I tried, and the pros and cons in my opinion. I only what I experienced with my own hands (reviewed first by aused or new sporting goods store or the courts). ! The bottom line: the SelectTech "the bang for the buck and bells are the best choice ever offered [Note for the editing - my columns disappeared, but you get the idea]
Brand Advantages Disadvantages
Cap Barbell 40 lb - Dirt Cheap! - Take a long period of time to adapt
- Keep the traditional "bell - chrome economic
-Indestructible - drop 'em! - Needless to best
- To find add-on disks easily
Conclusion: I once had some like this, and almost never use them except in a single weight because they were set like a pain. If all is one who can afford it, not bad for $ 40.
PowerBlock Personal Trainer - nice set of weights - Expensive, strange shape and form
- Solid construction - Large, very difficult to control
- What is the idiotColor Coding?
Bottom Line: Sturdy, well made and feels good in hand. Non-detachable but stable. I can not get over the blocks, bulky form factor of this "bell, though. I hit my chin on curls, rows, impossible to touch the wrist sometimes, and do not even think of something behind your head! Adjustments are difficult and only works if the unit on a solid surface (not carpet!). no go.
IRON MASTER £ 75 Quick Lock -Most of the weight - a lot of money
- The solid construction - the focus, pens precarious!
- Good size, feel - lots of corners!
Conclusion: By far the most solid and traditional feel of the "bell, I had more time and break them, but the pins fell out when I was very expensive, but the only way to get to 100 + kg in each hand! For obtain (with add-on kit) in this segment. The support is adequate. Corners are angry and got inthe way sometimes. Among the most difficult to adjust. If they were round, and it was easy to adjust, and secure pens, it would be a winner. But it is not. Fail.
By far the easiest to adjust - - Bowflex SelectTech Expensive
- Solid (= power to block) - seem a bit 'less rigid than other
- Excellent shape and size
- Increase of 2.5 kg to 25 kg are excellent
Conclusion: the smooth, regular, faster, makes you feel even more beautiful of all. The grip is the rightStrength and size are the plates are not bulky, and while a bit 'of rattle-y feel, they are not! In fact, this was the safest settings other than the block-star on the Bells Cap (provided clear lens). These elegant even from a plane surface, as a benefit under Lexus Kias. And while they are not cheap, are # 3 on the list price of my review (of 6). The clear winner!
Smart Life 5 - to 55 kilos - cheap - junk up!
-Unique (?) - To adjust the focus
Conclusion: A strange phrase ... the handle keeps the plates from the outside, so that all the "bells dangling in his hand less biased. facts below feel like toys. Pesky pins set, this seems to be a bad solution in general, I cited only recommended to avoid! Terrible product.
Proform Pro Quick 100-Pound - fair price - Stand Worthless
- Weight Feel Good - feel cheap
EarthLeader:. Using an adjustment mechanism similar to "bell Bowflex Dials at the ends of the increases are wider, though, and I could feel the cheap plastic pieces were breaking around inside (I tried a used set). Nothing like parts of the pendulum Bowlex solid metal on the inside. Let yourself be carried away by the included stand, it is crap and will not last 3 months. Definitely not a good value.
Other: I have been, by 6 There are many products appear to be similarProforms, perhaps even exactly the same manufacturer! I could see at a glance that they are all equally beneficial to tell. If money is an important limiting factor, I suggest you go with the bells to Cap you can afford the good stuff.
If you read this, thank you very much, and enjoy depending on what you buy!
